Glorious Goodwood, Saturday

The final day of Glorious Goodwood today and a much needed profitable day.

We had two account bets.

First up was Midday, 4pt win @ 2/1.
9/4 was available briefly with Stan James and in hindsight we could have sent the email our earlier to take this price but we don't like restricting members to just one stand out price if possible.
The recent rain that arrived, along with the course being watered played to her strengths.
This race had been her long term target for some time now and the word was that she was working fantastically at home.

She travelled well throughout and showed a devastating turn of foot to hit the front with 2 furlongs to run. She shot clear, only to appear to idle in front. When she was joined by Stacelita though she kicked on again and won pretty comfortably.

We also backed Roger Charlton's Genki in the Stewards Cup. 1pt e/w @ 8/1.
Another horse who has been aimed at this race for a while it was thought he may still be well handicapped.

He never really got into the race though in all honesty and was pretty disappointing.

A profit on the day and we have ended the month in profit, albeit only 0.7 points!
The majority of our selections ran well, although this last week made a dent in the months profits.

We have lots lined up for August and are expecting to really be able to kick on and have a great month.

There may be a bet tomorrow. We have our eye on one but will know more in the morning.
