Not quite a cracker

Two account bets yesterday but Citrus Star, 2pt e/w @ 7/1 was a non runner.
He played up and refused to go in the stalls so we were left with just one bet.

Perfect Cracker, 3pt win @ 11/4 (best odds guaranteed returned 10/3) was reported to be one of the nicest two year olds in the yard.
They had waited until a 7 furlong race was available as the horse looks a thorough stayer at home and will get a lot further in time.
He ran well enough and looked to have a decent chance with a furlong to go but was rather one paced from there and could only finish 3rd.
The winner, Measuring Time and the second, Mazante could well be horses to stay on the right side of as this was a fairly decent race.

Elsewhere there was some fantastic racing taking place yesterday.
A superb (and very brave) ride by George Baker on Premio Loco to win the group 2 race.
We considered an account bet on this one but there was also a very strong word for Dream Eater so we left the race alone. It would have been a very nervy race to watch if our money was down!

It was also nice to see Greylami winning with ease for the late Terry Mills. We backed this as an account bet at a big price a couple of months ago when he finished lame.

Awful racing today. Mid July and the only racing on offer in England is over the sticks. Very strange race planning...

A couple of strong account bets to look forward to this week, especially on Wednesday and Friday all being well.
