Wet Saturday

A very wet day and we had just one small account bet.
Zaidan, 2pt win @ 7/4 was expected to win again en route to the Curragh in September.
Another day when stakes were kept deliberately low because of the rain which pretty much surrounded the country.
It was fortunate we did keep stakes low as Zaidan seemed to dislike the softer ground and ran no sort of race.
He was well up with the pace throughout but when asked to quicked 2 furlongs out, simply didn't respond.

We mentioned 4 other horses as some members like more than one bet on a Saturday.
Signs In The Sand, Kite Wood, Bated Breath and Tajneed were all fancied but nothing strong enough to be an account bet.
Signs In The Sand won and Tajneed ran a decent race but the other two were disappointing.

Overall, not too much harm done on a day where picking winners was very tricky.

Its possible there will be an account bet tomorrow but again we will be watching the skies as much as waiting on calls in the morning.

Some great racing to look forward to this week. Hopefully the weather will start to setle down soon.
