Almost, Bill.

One account bet for us today where we looked to have landed the money until close home.

Belgian Bill, 4pt win @ 11/4 was well fancied by The George Baker yard.
He had been off the track for a couple of months and continued to improve at home with that time. He is thought of as a group race performer in time and was expected to take this race on the way to better things.

In the race he was always up with the pace and looked the winner approaching the final furlong when he forged into a hard earned length lead.
Unfortunately for us though the winner, Glen's Diamond came with a great late run to assert inside the final 50 yards.
Glen's Diamond landed a bit of a touch, being backed in from 5/1 into 7/2 so we may well have run into one there. He also didn't get the clearest of runs so would have been an unlucky loser.
Belgian Bill traded long odds on in running and ran a great race so we can't really complain.

There is a good chance of a bet tomorrow and the weather looks much more set now, which is good news.
