1.01 beaten!

A desperately unlucky start to the day for us with our first account bet.

Ventura Sands, 2pt win @ 15/8 was one of two account bets for us today.
He is one of the yards better horses and had been waiting for a 7 furlong race to make his debut.
He settled nicely in between the main pack of horses and was brought to the nearside to challenge with a couple of furlongs to run.
He kicked on and went clear inside the furlong and traded at 1.01 on Betfair for over £1,000.
Needless to say he looked all over the winner but was caught in the last stride by Newport Arch, a 50/1 chance.

Pretty unlucky to get one beaten when they trade so short in running but that's racing.

We have another runner tonight which we will update about in our next blog. Fingers crossed we will be luckier with this one.
