So close!

Two account bets for us today and both finished second.

First up we had Mymateeric, 1pt e/w @ 14/1.
Unsurprisingly, the 16 runner race became a 15 runner race meaning not only did the places reduce to 1,2,3, but also there was a slight rule 4.
This one was a plot horse trying to land a touch today. Off the course for over 6 months but this race had been plotted up as the meeting was being sponsored by the owners.
He ran a great race and was clearly trying his socks off. He was never travelling fantastically well but battled on inside the final furlong, never quite catching the leader.
He traded 1.5 in running.

A really nice run and almost a nice touch landed but not quite.

Our second bet of the day also finished second.
Miss Firefly, 2pt win @ 3/1 was expected to put in a decent run with the application of the headgear.
She was kicked out in front but if anything, the headgear maybe lit her up a little too much.
She ran a good race but the winner, Dualagi, was always travelling well in behind her and picked her up inside the final furlong.

A very small profit on the day which could have been much better.

Good racing tomorrow but it looks very tricky.

There may well be an account bet but if there isn't we do have at least one lined up for Saturday.
