No good Saturday

Two small account bets for us today on a very tricky looking Saturday.

First up was Jedi, 2pt win @ 9/2.
This horse loves to get his toe in and is a course winner round Chester which always helps.
The stable form is still a slight concern so stakes were kept sensible for this horse who was well fancied today.
He was supported down to 10/3 by the off and could be considered an unlucky loser.
Travelling fairly well throughout on the inside, Shane Kelly waited as long as he could for a gap to appear but it didn't. He had to switch round the pack, a manouvre which probably made the difference between winning and losing.
He finished 3rd, beaten just under 2 lengths.

Then we had Red Cape, 1pt e/w @ 25/1.
This horse loves it round Ripon and was a very unlucky loser last time out.
He had come out of that race well and we couldn't let him run at 25/1 without a small investment today.
In truth he was very disappointing come race time.
He broke well but was never really in a position to challenge and faded to finish close to last.

Two losers today but fortunately we staked small so not too much damage done overall.

There is a chance of a bet tomorrow and we have a maximum bet lined up over in Ireland towards the end of next week.
