Poor, poor, poor

3 small bets today and the best thing that can be said for them is that they were only small bets.

We started off with Regal Rocket, 1pt e/w @ 13/2.
Working nicely at home this two year old was expected to put in a good show first time out.
However, he completely missed the start and pulled hard throughout the early part of the race putting paid to his chances within the first couple of furlongs.
He stayed on well enough and finished fifth. Not one to totally discount next time out though and certainly the best of the 3 runs on the day.

Then we had Dunmore Boy, 3pt win @ 5/2. (Best Odds Guaranteed paid 3/1)
He travelled well enough and was still disputing inside the final furlong but found little from there to only finish 4th.
Very disappointing from a horse where much better was expected.

Finally we had Zubova, 1pt e/w @ 13/2.
She was the outsider of five runners but a good run was expected today after switching stables recently.
She didn't help matters by missing the break but that can't be used as an excuse as she always struggled in the rear of the field and could only finish 4th of the five runners.

Very poor stuff today and its been a tricky month so far.

Some of our main stables are struggling but thats no real excuse as we have lots of information coming in on a daily basis. There have been a few days where we have picked the wrong ones as account bets. (It's always hard to evaluate the strongest information and only use these for account bets) but these have been few and far between to be honest.

Hopefully things will pick up soon.
The weather is stable and the ground has remained good for a while now so there are no excuses there.

We are still well in profit for the year but nowhere near the profits of the last two years. This recent run is particularly frustrating for members who haven't profited over the previous years and have the huge profits to fall back on.
However we are in it for long term profits and confident of some good stuff ahead.

We have nothing for tomorrow at present but do have a bet lined up for Friday and Saturday if all remains the same.
