June Hat trick!

Tricky racing conditions today with a lot of rain around bet we had one small account bet.

We backed Valantino Oyster, 2pt win @ 7/2.
We had been waiting for this runner for a while. He had been very shrewdly campaigned last season. Kept to distances that were too short last season the step up in trip was expected to suit this horse that was considered very well handicapped.
That turned out to be the case but we were made to sweat for it a bit!

Our selection was travelling well enough but needed to be pushed along just over half a mile from home as he was switched away from the rail. He hit the front with around 300 yards to run and looked set to be an easy winner but wandered in front and the line just came in time.
A good ride and a good touch landed by a shrewd yard.

Our last three bets have now won at 11/2, 5/2 and 7/2. Lets hope this continues for a while yet!

There are two races in particular that we are interested in tomorrow so there is a strong possibility of an account bet.
There is lots more rain forecast over the next 48 hours though so we will evaluate in the morning.
