Nabbed on the line, again!

Very unlucky with our only account bet of the day today.
Twentynineblack, 3pt win @ 7/2 always travelled nicely and was sent for home with a couple of furlongs to run. The race looked all over but the long run in did us and he was caught on the line by Montoya's Son. Great ride by the jockey on the winner.
Twentynineblack traded 1.11. in running and to be honest its surprising it wasn't shorter than that.

Strangely thats the second account bet that has traded 1.11 in running and been caught on the line in two weeks. Lowdown was the other one.
Adding in the fact that we have had two account bets going lame in the last couple of weeks (Greylami and Signs In The Sand) we might consider ourselves a little unlucky.

Luck does come and go in circles though so we won't lose any sleep over it.

Elsewhere today there was a good word for Tombi in the 2.00 and Pyrrha in the 2.10.
Both were each way fancies and neither race had 8 runners so we didn't play. Tombi ran a poor race but Pyrrha battled on well from her good draw to win well.

Mahonia is fancied in the 4.10 and there is a good word for Mahaala in the 7.20 tonight. Word is out on that one though and the price has crashed but its one to keep an eye on.

Its unlikely there will be a bet tomorrow but there is lots to look forward to next week.
There is some great racing with York's Dante meeting, a sign that the flat season has really arrived. If we are involved in any photo finished there we hope they will go our way!

We have a plot horse that is lined up for the middle of the week as well. It will only run if the ground is ok but the weather looks favourable at this stage.
