We were expecting no account bets today but had a strong message for Mrs Fawlty, 2pt win @ 9/2.
She was expected to step up on her last run now she was back at Towcester but pretty much hit every hurdle. She was still in with a shout with 3 to jump but faded from there to finish 5th. Even with a good round of jumping it would have taken a good one to have beaten the winner today though.
That puts us 16.2 points in profit for March and just over 50 points up for 2010.
We have lots lined up for Cheltenham and with some decent ante post bets to look forward to we are hoping March will see a nice profit.

A tricky Saturday with both our account bets getting beaten.
There was a good word for Niran, 1pt e/w @ 9/1 who was supposed to have come on a bundle for his latest win. That wasn't to be and he ran a very flat race, never looking like getting placed.
Alan King's yard fancied Nikos Extra, 3pt win @ 11/4 and he looked all over the winner with 4 furlongs to run, trading odds on in running. He couldn't pull back the two leaders though so we lose 5 points on the day.
We are now just over 18 points in profit for March and just over 55 points in profit for 2010.
Elsewhere we put up two free bets.
Larks Lad, e/w at 10/1 who ran very well for a long way in the 2.00 but faded out of contention in the final couple of furlongs.
Qaspal who was a very game winner of the Imperial Cup at a well supported 11/4.
Its always annoying when a free bet wins and the account bets don't but it happens from time to time.
A disappointing week overall but plenty to look forward to over the next month in particular with Cheltenham, Doncaster's Lincoln meeting and Aintree's Grand National meeting all around the corner.
We have some great information on some very nice unraced 2-y-o's and are expecting a very good start to the flat season.
There may not be a bet now until Cheltenham on Tuesday but you never know...

No account bets yesterday where we were at Sandown for a promotional day. We will be back there for the big one today as well.
Great racing all round yesterday with some good finishes even though 3 races were for amateurs.
We had a word for 3 horses in the 4.05. Doctor Foxtrot, Tara Taylor and the winner Dr Hart. Giles gave Dr Hart a great ride to get him up on the line from what looked an impossible position in running.
Elsewhere the was little info at Sandown but a word for a couple elsewhere.
Captain Smoothy was fancied in the 4.50 at Ayr but was too short for us. Returned 6/5 but bumped into a good one in the shape of Hever Road.
There was a word for the big gamble, Drubinca at Wolverhampton but he could only manage 4th.
We had a big account bet planned today but it is now a non runner. There will be at least one account bet though.

No luck today with the account bet and in all honesty we didn't get much of a run for our money.
We backed Jessica Wigmo, 2pt e/w @ 8/1 and we knew she would be well backed, which she was into a tight 5/1 at the off.
Word was that she had overcome her niggling injuries and was now back to her normal self. Unfortunately she broke slowly and was bumped within the first 100 yards, then shuffled in behind and bumped again. From there she had no chance in a 6 furlong race and wasn't overly tried.
We won't give up on her though and may well be backing her next time out.
Elsewhere, very little else to report today.
We had a small each way double on Rudinero, 3rd @8/1 and Gaspara, unplaced at 11/2. Gaspara was never travelling and finished tailed off. The stable thought there were signs of a revival from her but possibly retirement beckons after today run.
Tomorrow looks quiet but we should have at least one bet on Saturday.
Cheltenham is just around the corner and for those interested we will be betting as normal. We would expect at least one account bet each day, along with the ante post bets we already have in place.
Along with that we will be giving a general run down of the main races of each day and some bits and bobs in our members email for those that want more insight.
We are on a promotion day at Sandown tomorrow so the blog will probably be updated on Saturday.

Well, the fantastic run had to end at some point didn't it?
Two bets today and both were pretty disappointing to be honest.
The only upside of today was that we staked very sensibly so not too much damage done overall.
Our first account bet was Stags Leap, 2pt win @ 9/4 in the 2.00 at Lingfield.
We knew he wasn't 100% fit but was thought to be classy enough to win and improve for the run. The plan wasn't to lead but there was little other choice and he traded 1.51 in running but couldn't cope when the pace increased inside the final 300 yards.
Later in the evening we were on Stanley Rigby 1pt e/w @ 8/1 and he ram no sort of race at all.
We knew Sworn Tigress was fancied by George's yard but she was no value at 1/2 and also made a nice each way race for our selection.
He was supported just before the off but never travelled well and was beaten with no chance of a place with 2 furlongs left to run.
Elsewhere there was very little to report.
A couple of eyecatchers in this afternoon's racing which we will be following up as potential account bets but thats for another day.
Our shiny new website is playing up slightly and the results may not be up to date on the day as usual for a few days while the guys work on it.
For the record we are 27.2 points in profit for March to date.
All being well there should be at least one account bet tomorrow.

Another quiet day today with nothing quite strong enough for an account bet.
We had a word on 4 horses today.
3.00, Alternator was fancied to run a big race but blundered badly at the 7th and lost all chance from there.
4.40 Mangham, who bled from the nose last time was thought to be in with a decent each way chance. He ran a good race only to lose 3rd place inside the final furlong.
5.00 Carrig An Uisce, an account bet last time out, was again fancied today. The money was down (5/1 into 2/1, although easily available at 3/1 on Betfair at the off?!) and he travelled well through the race only to fade badly inside the final furlong.
5.40 Fulford was fancied to land a quick double and ran well although never quite looking like he was going to get there. He finished half a length second.
So, fortunately the right decision to have no bet today. The rest of the week looks a little busier and we should have at least one account bet tomorrow.

Poor racing on offer today and we had no bet.
This proved to be the right thing to do.
In the first at Lingfield there was a good word for Jawal which ran an awful race finishing last of seven. Fortunately there was a lot of money for the winner, Merrqaad, from a stable where the money must be respected so we swerved the race.
There wasn't a strong word for George's Romantic Queen in the 3.50 although they thought she would run well. If there were 8 runners we would have played each way but 5/1 in a 7 runner race wasn't attractive to us. She ran well enough and managed second.
Tomorrows racing isn't much better than todays but we may have a bet. There are a couple we are waiting for confirmation about.
